Information Center

Sometimes I feel like an information center. Instead of thinking or researching things for themselves. people come to the "information center" for help. Yesterday at least three people called me for advice on things that were easy to find for themselves. One person called me for a telephone number that they could have found online. One person called me to ask how to fill out a form that was self explanatory. The best was the person that called to ask me who to speak to at a college regarding financial aid. I told them to call the financial aid office. I thought that question was a no brainer. Maybe if I charged for the information, people would stop asking and learn to be self reliant.
