Not Here, Not There

It is the first week of January. This is a month that is not here and not there. It is a simple, boring month. There are no holidays to look forward to and prepare for. The next holiday is Valentine's Day and that is a month away. January is almost a sad month. It has the holiday let down and the nothing to look forward to feel. If you mix it with freezing cold and possible snow, it almost wears a frown. Poor January.
