Number Six
In a little while I will be driving to Brooklyn to pick up my parents and bring them to see their sixth great grandchild. Even though my father still drives, we have limited him to local roads only and not parkways. He still feels he can do the drive to my neighborhood but I ignore his wishes. It is not a big deal for me to go get them. This afternoon they will meet the newest addition to the family. The family is lucky that both my mother and father will be able to walk on their own two feet to see her. Not everyone at 94 years old can do that. Even though it is cloudy out I feel like the sun is shining on me.
