For The Birds

People say that this weather is for the birds so I began to wonder. Where are the birds? This morning when I walked Shelby I stood there listening for their chirping,  but there was no sound. It was raining and there was sleet. I looked up into the leafless trees and did not see them. I looked at the telephone and electrical wires and they were not their either. Where did they go to keep safe and warm? As I sit here writing,  I still do not hear them. I guess this weather is really not for the birds because when it gets bad they disappear.
