Only Bowling
Today is Easter. When I first moved into my neighborhood there was only one establishment open today. It was the bowling alley. I never knew why they decided to open. Maybe bowlers are not religious. It just seemed odd. In those days not even a movie theater was open. As years passed, more businesses felt that commerce was more important than a holiday. Now, mostly every store in my neighborhood is open for business. Even though I do not celebrate Easter, I feel bad for the workers that do and have to leave their families to go to work.
