Wasting Money
At what point do you stop repairing something and buy something else? That is the question I am asking my director. When our office was remodeled in 2008, the "designer" had no idea what she was doing. She ordered filing drawers that were more suited for light sweaters than heavy files. The drawer unit probably cost $2000. So far the repairs on it have cost $1200. Another two drawers broke yesterday so the count will be up to $1400. This problem will go on forever as the drawers cannot handle the weight. Why keep repairing them? At some point you need to wake up and realize that they are beyond repair. I knew that in 2009.
