Guessing

As technology increases, the element of guessing has fallen by the wayside. If we have a question we can immediately go to the source of the answer. Having the means to find out a correct answer can also save relationships. Ask any man who has gone to the supermarket and finds that the item his wife wants is out of stock. Years ago he would buy an alternate item and sweat all the way home. It was a 50/50 crap shoot as to whether or not he would be yelled at for being dumb or credited for good thinking. In reality, the odds were 99/1, with 99 being the odds he would be in the wrong. Now all it takes is a dial of the phone and another argument is avoided.
