With all that is going on in this world, my sister thought of our childhood and the Girl Scout Pledge that we both took over 55 years ago. It says:
On my honor,
I will try to serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And live by the Girl Scout Law.
I will do my best,
To be honest and fair,
Friendly and helpful,
Considerate and caring,
Courageous and strong,
Responsible for what I say and do,
Respect authority,
Use resources wisely,
Make the world a better place,
And be a sister to every Girl Scout.
Does anything more need to be said? If only we could live like this after the storm passes.
